Bartlett's Familiar Quotations You can "Search Bartlett's"
(1901 edition) at this site maintained by Columbia University to find

"American Memory" Project A collection of primary source
materials and supporting documents that illustrate the history of
the United States. The project houses motion pictures, photographs,
sound files and documents. (To view the motion pictures on your computer,
you will need a program such as Media Player (mplayer.exe), one of
the programs that comes with Microsoft Windows.)

Collections in the Library of Congress This takes you to
indices of primary documents held by the Library of Congress. You
can look for documents by geographic region, by era, by type of document
or by subject matter.

of the Solar System "Views of the Solar System," provided by
the Department of Defense's Los Alamos (N.M.) National Laboratory, offers
lots of information on the planets of our solar system: pictures, geographical
